Why we exist.
Betsy trained as an environmental engineer because she wanted to make a difference in the world.
She was drawn to a career in the water sector because water is life. It sustains our bodies and nourishes our souls. It supports our natural environments and special places. It is the lifeblood of Traditional Owners’ Country.
Yet because water is so highly valued, it is also hotly contested.
Betsy’s work navigating tricky conversations about water taught her that decision-making must meaningfully involve all those affected by the outcomes of the decisions made.
And that positive progress is always possible, even for complex or controversial problems.
Today, Betsy wants to create positive change for communities so that her daughters can grow up in a fair, just society with a thriving, sustainable environment.

Betsy is proud to live by the Barwon River, on Wadawurrung Country.
She has a particular interest in the prosperity of the beautiful region she calls home. You will find her getting inspiration to solve the problems of the world via her regular runs along the river!
